Dulwich Sports Ground Hosts the World's Last Man Stands
Dulwich Sports Ground hosted the World's Last Man Stands Tournament from 26th August to the 3rd of September 2013 with Teams competing from all over the world.
The Last Man Stands 2013 finals were held at Lord's Nursery Cricket Ground with a £10,000 prize up for grabs.Four teams played in the finals of the tournament, which was hosted for the first time by England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and has featured 48 teams from five different countries. Last Man Stands is a popular short version of cricket, based on an eight-a-side 20-over format which can be played in less than two hours. Last Man Stands is one of the fastest growing forms of our grassroots game with more than 7,000 players now registered in both England and Wales and more than 50 leagues, 2,000 teams and 40,000 players worldwide including, Australia, New Zealand, Dubai and South Africa. |
